WELCOME TO NIGHT VALE is a twice-monthly podcast in the style of community updates for the small desert town of Night Vale. The series began in 2012. Episodes are typically 20 to 30 minutes long, with heavy themes of surreal humor and horror. Welcome to Night Vale is often abbreviated to WTNV or Night Vale. It is produced by Night Vale Presents (formerly by Commonplace Books), written by Joseph Fink and Jeffrey Cranor, and narrated by Cecil Baldwin.
The goal of this wiki is to help fans by collecting and organizing all the information they could possibly need about the series.
THE FACELESS OLD WOMAN (WHO SECRETLY LIVES IN YOUR HOME)
Who doesn't know about the Faceless Old Woman who lives in all of our homes? She was first mentioned in an advertisement for gulping. The Faceless Old Woman is always just out of sight. She wishes you would, just once, look at her.
In 2014, the Faceless Old Woman ran for mayor, but didn't get elected in the end, despite all her efforts of leaving leaflets in your home.
In her free time, she does "lots of things," including Bing searching for "pictures of dead wolves" and "the melting point of birds" and notating your copy of Infinite Jest. She came to public attention when she issued a statement revealing that she was confused by the way you organize your fridge, had changed your sheets, and wanted your wifi password.
