"The Mayor" is the 24th episode of Welcome to Night Vale. It was released on 1 June 2013.

Synopsis

The Mayor has gone missing. Plus, Night Vale Community Theater presents Once on this Island, the return of Children's Fun Fact Science Corner, and an update on the Apache Tracker.

Plot Developments

  • Do Not Approach the Dog Park: Following her press conference, Mayor Winchell scales the twelve-foot high obsidian walls of the Dog Park.
  • Dana in The Dog Park: Presumed lost forever intern Dana sends Cecil a text from inside the Dog Park with details of the Mayor's press conference.
  • The Next Mayor: Mayor Winchell announces that she is stepping down as Mayor of Night Vale at the end of the year.
