Teddy Williams is the manager of the Desert Flower Bowling Alley and Arcade Fun Complex and a doctor, as all bowling alley managers must be. In episode 16 Dr. Williams asked listeners to memorize their shoe size to maximize efficiency when picking out bowling shoes. Teddy Williams was the first to raise alarm about The Underground City, and rallied a militia to defend against attack from below. He wanted $2.50 from every Night Vale citizen to pay for the defenses.
Dr. Williams apparently doesn't get along with Carlos, or perhaps the two simply clashed over the underground city problem. When Carlos, in "One Year Later", actually climbed into the hole at the back of lane 5, saying "someone has to get to the bottom of this," he called Dr. Williams "deranged." Williams responded by shouting "Oh yeah, OH YEAH, say that to my face, big shot!", but Carlos had already gone down into the pit.
As of episode 48 Teddy Williams is "busy" at the StrexCorp company picnic and wasn't able to pay his lease, causing him to lose the Desert Flower Bowling Alley and Arcade Fun Complex building to the underground city dwellers, who renamed the building The Cathedral of Huntokhar and began using it as a headquarters. In "The Retirement of Pamela Winchell", Cecil tells us that under its new ownership, StrexCorp gave Dr. Williams the funding to begin renovating the building and cover lane 5 with asphalt.
In "Homecoming", Dr. Williams told Cecil he had finally rolled a 450.
