Synopsis
There are glowing arrows in the sky.
Summary
The sky is almost completely gone, the dragons are destroying the town, many citizens are leaving to live in alternative realities, and Steve Carlsberg has a message for Cecil's listeners.
Plot Developments
- The Angels: The acknowledgment of angels is legalized as a result of Steve Carlsberg arguing for it at a hearing in the Hall of Public Records.
- Huntokar: It is revealed that the lines and arrows which Steve Carlsberg is seeing in the sky are a message from Huntokar.
- The Woman from Italy: Steve mentions that the Woman is threatening to flay Night Vale citizens alive.
- The Distant Prince: Steve mentions that the Prince is slowly creeping less distant.
- Russian: A matryoshka, the doll mentioned by Cecil, is a traditional Russian toy.
- The Holes in Reality: Cecil says that people of Night Vale tore realities apart themselves by not acknowledging the truth about them. Legalizing the acknowledgement of angels, departure of the dragons, Alondra's decision to let the angels inherit most of her mother's estate, the Vague, Yet Menacing, Government Agency resuming the routine of spying on people, the librarians returning to the Night Vale Public Library, the City Council coming back from their holidays, Dana Cardinal remembering that her father died, people admitting that many things that happen in Night Vale would be considered not normal in any other place and accepting the reality of their world healed the broken reality.
