James Peters is a citizen of Night Vale, a soldier in the Blood Space War, and an older brother of John Peters (you know, the farmer?).
History[]
James left Night Vale in order to fight in the Blood Space War a few months before John's 12th birthday.[1] He came back over 40 years later, along Dan Christiansen, Drew Christiansen, and Junior Blais. Despite the fact that so many years have passed in Night Vale, James was still 22, the same age he was when he left. He explained that he spent 100 years fighting the war and even though he was visibly broken by his experiences, he decided to go back and help Eunomia, whom he believed capable of ending the war.[2] A month later James came back again, and this time he was in his 70s, the age he should be if time worked properly. Initially relieved that the Polonians were stopped from conquering the Earth, James soon realized that the timeline change erased a vast number of people from existence.[3] After Eunomia retired as the General, James was chosen to take over from her.[4]
