Daniel is the robotic producer of Night Vale Community Radio during the Strex takeover. It is unknown how long he's been working for Strex, or if he was human before.
In "Trypitch" Kevin describes Daniel as "fresh off the line" yet he seems to easily malfunction. When asked a question by Cecil he begins shaking, sparking, humming, before motor oil begins falling out of his open mouth.[1]
Cecil describes Daniel has having a lot of blood. He also has the ability to blush.[2]
Despite being a radio producer, Cecil says Daniel dislikes listening to the radio.[3]
Daniel seems to interact with Lauren often. Cecil describes the two pressing themselves against the walls of the break room chanting “I take my warmth from your great warmth" repeatedly[4], Lauren also mentions having to ask Daniel to drive her places, and she begins to worry about him when he doesn't come back from photographing Khoshekh's kittens.[5]
Following being locked in the control booth by Cecil, he throws chairs and yanks cables out of the walls.[6]
In "Renovations" Daniel is presumably killed by Khoshekh's kittens after Lauren asked him to take photos of them.
