Episode Summary[]
Kevin and Lauren tell a story about a family that can't smile, and their daughter helps them smile.
Plot Developments[]
The story starts with describing how the Good family can't smile. As it is described, they are a family of "two mothers, a father, a daughter, a son, three dogs, the front half of a cat and a very long house." Then the Smiling God appears to them and tells them about purity and devouring. (Not before their ears begin to melt off and they clutch their ears, screaming.) The Smiling God even showed them a PowerPoint presentation on the subject of purity. The Smiling God got angry that they weren't smiling, even though they said they were. The Smiling God devoured their home. The daughter, Felicia, knew they had to figure out how to smile. She used a shard of glass to cut her mouth into a smile. She then chased down her family members and helped them smile. Lastly, the Smiling God devoured them, and Lauren said "And the souls of that family were so joyous and pure that they still wander our town, with huge toothy grins. And every year, on All Smile's Eve, they center the homes of children who do not smile and then they help them smile."
